Not the quality I expected

From what I understand, Zeal Optics is the budget line of the Maui Jim brand. Maui Jim is an awesome sunglass so I figured that I couldn't go wrong trying a these Zeal sunglasses. I'm not at all impressed. They are very lightweight: the weight is comparable to that of a child's dollar-store sunglasses. The frame is very large - not at all suitable for a medium or even medium-large face. The thin plastic lenses are clear and sharp but the "mirrored" blue finish is translucent and not at all what I'd call mirrored. The amber lenses are not very dark, so they're only suitable for use on an overcast day - don't expect these to help you in bright sun. I won't be trying Zeal again anytime soon. :(

For a wider head

This is my second pair of Zeal sunglasses. The quality of lenses are still good. I expected the frames to be wider, based on the specs, but I didn’t expect the temples to be significantly farther apart and thus less able to stay in place. My previous frames were wide but they pinched your head and stayed in place during sports. These new ones don’t grab your head but merely sit on top of the ears. Don’t try to perch them on top of your head - one move and they’ll fall. Still otherwise love the overall Zeal quality.
